Police Blotter: Tree Falls on Car and More

The following information was supplied by the Burlingame Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, July 26

3:34 a.m. A resident on the 1700 block of Sequoia Avenue reported hearing footsteps in the hallway. The noise stopped when the resident asked who was there. The residence was checked.

7:12 a.m. A cat was reportedly stuck in a tree on the 1500 block of Meadow Lane.

7:49 a.m. A tree on the 1500 block of Carmelita Avenue fell on a car.

4:01 p.m. An alarm company reported a sliding glass door was open in a residence on the 800 block of Alpine Avenue. Police found the door to be unlocked, however, a dog was guarding the door.

Friday, July 27

8:01 a.m. A man was found sleeping under a blanket in front of the Burlingame Recreation Center. He was sent on his way.

1:27 p.m. A young man was reportedly yelling at cars on the 1500 block of Adeline Drive before getting on a bus.

7:45 p.m. A roommate tried changing her locks on the 1100 block of Hamilton Lane while her roommate was out walking his dog. She was advised the other tenant must be legally evicted.

Saturday, July 28

5:02 a.m. Loud noises were reported on the 400 block of Rollins Road. An officer found a family packing up to go camping, who said they would keep it down.

12:22 p.m. A resident on the 2800 block of Hillside Drive found a knife in his yard.

3:53 p.m. A resident on the 0 block of Lorton Avenue complained about a tree trimming, saying he believed the tree now looked unattractive. He also believed the tree trimmers were illegal immigrants. There was no merit to his claim.

9:11 p.m. A juvenile on the 800 block of Fairfield Road called to report she thought someone was burglarizing her home. Police found nothing out of order.
