At the Sept. 7 City Council meeting, new store Pet Food Express offered to place dog waste stations throughout Burlingame. Business owners on Broadway were excited about the idea, as they have been considering making Broadway a more dog-friendly street.
The idea behind the stations is providing bags for dog waste and waste bins. Pet Food Express employees also said they could provide just bags, and residents could throw the waste into regular trash cans. However, some city council members were unconvinced that encouraging increased dog interaction with Burlingame business districts was a good idea.
