Do you have a cheesy side? Do you prefer it mild or sharp-- full of holes, grilled or stinky? Meet Gouda, a 3-year-old female surrendered by her owners last December after her previous family's home went into foreclosure. She was left behind and a kind neighbor took her into the shelter.
Her quirks? She steals food from the counter and will eat bagels, croissants and breads. She gets along well with other animals (she used to live with other cats and a dog) but does have her off days when she can be a diva. She'll do fine in a home with children as long as she is allowed time to chill. The vets here noticed a heart murmur, but it's not very significant.Â
To visit Gouda, come over to the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. The shelter is open for adoptions Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. We are located at 12 Airport Blvd. in San Mateo. For directions and information, call 650-340-7022.
