San Mateo County Man Wins $750K
Rafi Chabo purchased a winning $10 Scratchers ticket on Thursday.

BURLINGAME, CA -- A San Mateo County man just turned $10 into $750,000.
Rafi Chabo purchased a $10 Scratchers ticket on Thursday at the Kwik & Convenient Market in Burlingame. The winning ticket scored him $750,000.
“I thought I won $750,” Chabo said. “I couldn’t believe my eyes.”

Chabo said he plans to pay off his debts, pay his daughter’s school loans, maybe splurge on a new car and then take a Caribbean cruise with his wife.
The California Lottery is a $6 billion enterprise based in Sacramento. It is one of the few state agencies that is a revenue generator, not accepting taxpayer dollars from the State’s General Fund. Its mission is to provide supplemental funding to California schools while simultaneously supporting local communities. In fiscal 2015-16, the Lottery created 98 new millionaires.
