A look ahead at high school match-ups this week.

It's another busy week for high school athletes in Burlingame. At Burlingame High School, the sports week kicks off Tuesday, Sept. 21 when the girls tennis team takes on Mills High School at 4 p.m. 

Also playing on Sept. 21 is the freshman/sophomore girls volleyball team against Aragon. The varsity girls volleyball team takes their shot at Aragon at 5:30 p.m. The volleyball team will be back in action Thursday, Sept. 23 against Carlmont. The freshman/sophomore team plays at 4 p.m. and the varsity at 5:30 p.m.

The varsity volleyball team will finish up the week on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Cupertino Tournament.

The football team suits up for a match against Homestead on Friday, Sept. 24. The freshman/sophomore team plays at 4 p.m., and the varsity team plays at 7 p.m.

Mercy High School athletes similarly have a packed week. The varsity water polo team takes on Mills at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21. The junior varsity team plays at 4:30. On Thursday, Sept. 23, the varsity team matches up against Half Moon Bay at 3:30 pm, while the junior varsity team plays the same school at 4:30 p.m.

Sept. 21 holds a trio of volleyball games against Belmont. The freshman team plays at 4 p.m., the junior varsity at 5 p.m. and the varsity at 6:30 p.m. The volleyball teams will travel to St. Francis High School on Sept. 23 for their games. The freshman team starts up at 4 p.m., junior varsity at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Sept. 22, the golf team plays against Castilleja High School at 3 p.m.
