Three Popular Bay Area Brands Partner For Chocolate Coffee Beans
See's Candies, Peet's Coffee and Guittard Chocolate Company are coming together to create a "perfect pick-me-up treat."
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — Three popular brands headquartered in the Bay Area are partnering for what is being billed as a “perfect pick-me-up treat.”
South San Francisco’s See’s Candies, Emeryville’s Peet’s Coffee and Burlingame’s Guittard Chocolate Company are coming together to create Chocolate Coffee Beans, available in See’s shops and online as their April Sweet-of-the-Month, while supplies last.
According to a news release by See’s Candies, the coffee beans from Brazil are roasted by Peet’s and then coated in See’s dark chocolate that is supplied by Guittard. See’s said it was the first time it has collaborated with Peet’s. The candy company is celebrating its centennial year by releasing a new sweet each month.

“When we decided to make chocolate-covered coffee beans, I couldn't think of better partners than our friends at Peet's and Guittard,” said Pat Egan, President & CEO of See's Candies, in a news release. “All three of us have deep roots in the Bay Area and share traditions of creating premium products and taking care of customers. So, developing this together with other California icons that also have a great company culture was a real treat.”
