Calabasas House Fire Burns Off Part Of Roof

A fire tore through the attic of a home on Stokes Canyon Road Monday night.

CALABASAS, CA — A house fire destroyed part of the roof of a house in the 2700 block of Stokes Canyon Road in Calabasas Monday night, according to Calabasas firefighters.

The fire was started by a chimney in the attic of a house that spread to the walls, according to a representative from Fire Station 67 in Calabasas. Though a section of the roof had to be removed, the home is still standing, and no injuries were reported.

The fire was reported at around 7 p.m. Monday, and was put out within 30 minutes, according to Capt. Garvey of Station 67.
