Calabasas Receives Financial Achievement Award

The certificate demonstrates the highest form of recognition an organization can receive from the GFOA.

From The City of Calabasa: For the twelfth consecutive year, the City of Calabasas and its Chief Financial Officer Dr. Gary J. Lysik have been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. The Certificate of Achievement is the Association’s ultimate form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

An impartial panel judged that Calabasas’ report met the highest standards of financial reporting, demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” that clearly communicates the City’s financial story. "Calabasas has once again been recognized for upholding the very highest standards of accounting and transparency,” said Calabasas Mayor Mary Sue Maurer. “The City is quite proud of CFO Dr. Gary Lysik and his entire staff for their outstanding work.”

The GFOA is a non-profit professional association serving approximately 17,500 government financial professionals throughout the United States and Canada.
