Happy Mother’s Day To Marilyn Collins

In celebration of Mother's Day on Sunday May 13, we asked Patch readers to write a letter to their mother and let us deliver it. This is Deborah Sweeney's letter to her mom:

My mom, Marilyn Collins, is the best. And as great of a mother as she is, she is an even more wonderful grandma. She is caring, thoughtful and just plain wonderful. She set a great example for me in motherhood, and I am forever grateful to her.

We both live in Calabasas, and we are fortunate to live so close. We get to see each other every day and, for that, I am forever grateful. She is going through rough medical issues right now, but it just reinforces how strong she is every day. Happy Mother’s Day, mom!
