Heat Wave Arrives In Calabasas Tuesday, Stays Through Friday

Daytime temperatures are expected to rise to the low to mid-90s beginning at 11 a.m. and residents should be wary of heat-related illnesses.

CALABASAS, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory that will begin on Tuesday morning and run through the end of the week.

Temperatures are expected to settle into the low to mid-90s beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday until 5 p.m. Friday. Overnight lows are expected to be in the 60s before rising up again during the daytime hours. According to the weather service, temperatures will be even higher in the Hollywood Hills during the extended period of heat.

The weather service warns that heat-related illnesses may become an issue and that those without air conditioning in their homes may become especially vulnerable during the extended heat wave.

Local residents are expected to drink plenty of fluids and remain in air-conditioning rooms and should stay out of the sun. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
