'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Coming To A Close
On Tuesday, the Kardashian-Jenner family issued a statement confirming that hit show will end next year.

CALABASAS, CA —Sorry America, but you'll need to find another family to keep up with.
The Kardashians, arguably the most famous – or infamous – family from Calabasas, are ending the 14-year run of their hit E! reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
"It is with heavy hearts that we've made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to `Keeping Up With the Kardashians,"' Kim Kardashian-West tweeted on Tuesday.

"After what will be 14 years, 20 season, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who've watched us for all of these years -- through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears and the many relationships and children," she wrote. "We'll forever cherish the wonderful memories and countless people we've met along the way."
Kardashian-West thanked executive producer Ryan Seacrest "for believing in us," as well as the E! cable network and the Bunim/Murray production company.

In a statement, the E! Network thanked the stars of its flagship show for allowing it to follow their daily lives for so many years. ““E! has been the home and extended family to the Kardashian-Jenners for what will be 14 years, featuring the lives of this empowering family,” the network wrote. “Along with all of you, we have enjoyed following the intimate moments the family so bravely shared by letting us into their daily lives. While it has been an absolute privilege and we will miss them wholeheartedly, we respect the family’s decision to live their lives without our cameras.”
The show debuted on the E! Network in 2007, and quickly became a ratings juggernaut for the network that turned the Calabasas family into household names and spawned several spinoffs. Before the show, Kris Jenner was known mostly as the ex-wife of the late Robert Kardashian, who helped defend O.J. Simpson in the 1990s. Kim Kardashian was known for a 2002 sex tape with rapper Ray J.
14 years later, the family has become a tabloid staple and a multi-billion dollar global empire with clothing lines, cosmetic companies, apps, more. In 2017, E! signed a three-year deal with the family worth at least $100 million. In 2019, Kylie Jenner became known as the world’s youngest billionaire, with a net worth of about $1 billion at age 22 stemming from her cosmetics company, Kylie Cosmetics.
A new season will begin Sept. 17, and the final season of the show following the adventures of the Kardashian family will air early next year.
"Without `Keeping Up With the Kardashians,' I wouldn't be where I am today," Kim Kardashian-West wrote. "I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who has watched and supported me and my family these past 14 incredible years. This show made us who we are and I will be forever in debt to everyone who played a role in shaping our careers and changing our lives forever."
