Snoop Dog's Heavily Recruited Son Drops Football at UCLA

Cordell Broadus, one of the nation's most highly recruited college football players, eschewed Fall camp to pursue filmmaking.

Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, has quit the UCLA football team to “pursue other passions,” Coach Jim Mora announced today.

Broadus, a UCLA freshman wide receiver described as being one of the nation’s most highly recruited players, skipped the first week of Bruins fall camp.

“Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life, in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions,” Mora said. “Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA.”
