Suspicious Package Cleared At Lost Hills: Agoura Road Reopened

The Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff's Station reported a suspicious package on Thursday morning, and closed down Agoura Road in both directions.

CALABASAS, CA — The lobby of the Malibu/Lost Hill’s Sheriff’s Station reopened just before 11 a.m Thursday after a temporary closure due to suspicious package found outside the station door. The package has been cleared, according to an update from the City of Agoura Hills.

Agoura Road is reopened as of noon Thursday, according to Agoura Hills City Manager Nathan Hamburger. It was closed in both directions near the station’s location at Liberty Canyon while the station investigated, according to a previous update from Agoura Hills.

All deputies are safe and continuing their usual patrol duties, the department reported in a 9:35 a.m. post on its Facebook page. The public is advised to avoid the Calabasas station until the situation is resolved.

Patch could not reach the station for comment, but the post noted that the department’s social media pages would be updated throughout the day.
