Westlake, Topanga Libraries Serve As Calabasas Cooling Centers
Beat the heat and head to nearby air-conditioned Cooling Centers.
CALABASAS, CA — Temperatures in Agoura Hills are expected to reach 100 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday, and remain in the upper 90s throughout the week. The heat wave is expected to strain the power grid, and residents may experience blackouts and brownouts.
Should that happen, Calabasans can head to nearby cooling centers, county designated spaces for free, public air conditioning.

- Westlake Village Library, 31220 W. Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village; open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Topanga Library, 122 N. Topanga Canyon Road, Topanga; open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- OneGeneration Senior Enrichment Center, 18255 Victory Boulevard, Reseda; open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you cannot get to a cooling center, try closing window shades and curtains, drinking plenty of water, taking a cool shower or bath, limiting strenuous activities, and avoid using stoves or ovens.
