CALIFORNIA – Happy National Ice Cream Day!

This year, the date to honor and indulge in frozen, creamy treats falls on Sunday, July 15. To make the day more enjoyable, Patch has rounded up some steals, deals and freebies throughout the Golden State.

DIPPIN’ DOTS: On July 15, participating locations will be celebrating National Ice Cream Day AND Dippin’ Dots’ 30th anniversary by giving away free mini cups during a two-hour window. Check your nearest location for promo hours.

MAGGIE MOO'S/MARBLE SLAB CREAMERY: Monday through Friday 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., take $1 off all shakes for Slab Happy Hour. The only Marble Slab in the state, however, is in Fresno.

SMORGASBURG LA: Ice Cream Alley opens July 15, featuring pop-ups of the best ice cream vendors that LA has to offer,and runs through Labor Day weekend, with scoops, ice cream sandwiches, pops and more.

WHOLE FOODS: All Whole Foods stores will hold a three-day sale (July 13 to July 15) on Ben & Jerry’s and Talenti ice cream pints. Get two of any Ben & Jerry’s or Talenti pints for $6. Amazon Prime members get an extra 10 percent off, thanks to Prime Day.
