Airbnb Books Space To Grow In South Bay

The online hospitality company has signed on with the WeWork Riverpark Tower in San Jose until it finds a permanent home in the South Bay.

SAN JOSE, CA -- Looking south for room to grow, Airbnb is throwing open more doors to expand its own digs in keeping up with the increasing demand of its hosts and travelers.

The online community-driven hospitality company announced recently it will open a new office in San Jose as part of a broader commitment to increase its workforce and presence across the San Francisco Bay Area. The office will be located at the WeWork Riverpark Tower and will serve as a temporary home to about 50 new employees expanding Airbnb’s engineering team. From there, the blossoming San Francisco-based business will use that office while seeking a permanent space in the South Bay in 2020.

The new space is expected to open within the next few months. The company is actively recruiting to fill some of the positions that will reside in the South Bay, including jobs in engineering and recruitment.
