Campbell Police Log: Gas Siphoned, Mailbox Theft, Auto Burglaries

A look at the Campbell Police Department's crime log for Jan. 20-21.

  • Public Intoxication: 9:08 p.m. Jan. 20, 400 block E. Campbell Ave., a 27-year-old person was found drunk in public.
  • Fraud: 4:30 p.m. Jan. 20, 1600 block of So. Bascom Ave., a man was scammed when he purchased bogus "money cards" to pay for utility bills.
  • Restraining Order Violation: 1 p.m. Jan. 20, 2100 block of So. Winchester Blvd., a 20-year-old entered a residence in violation of a no-contact restraining order.
  • Auto Burglary: between Jan. 17-20, 500 block Millich Drive, three vehicles' caps were pried open to siphon gas.
  • Mailbox Theft: between Jan. 18-20, 300 block W. Sunnyoaks Ave., community mailboxes' rear doors were pried open.
  • Felony Affidavit: 10:07 a.m. Jan. 20, McGlincy and Cristich lanes, a man was taken into custody without incident for a felony affidavit.
  • Stolen Vehicle Recovery: 8 a.m. Jan. 20, Poplar and Maple avenues, an abandoned Honda reported stolen out of San Jose was located.
  • Stolen Auto Recovery: 12:07 a.m. Jan. 21, 1100 block Monica, a stolen Honda Accord was found crashed at a park.
  • Auto Vandalism: no time given, Jan. 21, a vehicle's window was smashed.
  • Brandishing Weapon: 6:19 p.m. Jan. 21, 2500 block So. Winchester Blvd., a 61-year-old brandished a wooden stick at a victim.
  • Fraud: 5:24 p.m. Jan. 21, 1300 block Abbott, someone's identity was used to attempt to obtain a credit card.
  • Residential Burglary: Jan. 17-19, reported Jan. 21, 1200 block Westmont Ave., a home's garage was accessed to steal property.
  • Auto Burglary: 7:30 a.m. Jan. 21, 100 block So. Second St., a vehicle was broken into to steal property.
  • Hit-And-Run: Jan. 17, 100 block Shelley Ave., a vehicle's side was dented.
  • Auto Burglary: 6 p.m. Jan. 20, 1800 block So. Bascom Ave., a locked vehicle was entered by unknown means and property was stolen. 
  • Auto Burglary: 4 p.m. Jan. 21, 100 block Dot Ave., an unlocked vehicle was entered and property was stolen.
