Campbell Police Log: Mail Theft, Students With Pot, Ring Pawned

A look at the Campbell Police Department's crime log for Jan. 14-16.

  • Domestic Dispute: 7:14 p.m. Jan. 14, 1200 block Ridgeley Drive, a couple was involved in a "heated argument."
  • Mail Theft: 2:17 p.m. Jan. 14, 1800 block Montemar Way, mail packages were stolen from a porch.
  • Auto Burglary: During the night Jan. 14, 100 block Darryl, a vehicle's window was broken to gain entry and steal property.
  • Possession: 1:51 p.m. Jan. 14, 200 block Cherry, two male students were cited and released for marijuana possession.
  • Residential Burglary: 9 a.m. Jan. 14, 500 block Virginia, an unknown suspect entered a residence via an unlocked back door and stole property.
  • Shoplifting: 3:28 p.m. Jan. 14, 400 block E. Hamilton Ave., two men, ages 24 and 26, were caught shoplifting.
  • Commercial Burglary: 4:27 a.m. Jan. 15, 1700 block So. Bascom Ave., a business' window was smashed by unknown means and its cash register was pried open and money was stolen.
  • Petty Theft: past three weeks, reported Jan. 15, 200 block Echo Drive, a woman reported that a 59-year-old man stole her ring and took it to an unknown pawn shop.
  • Shoplifting: 5 p.m. Jan. 15, 600 block E. Hamilton Ave., a 47-year-old man took merchandise from the store without paying.
  • Mail Theft: 5:30 p.m. Jan. 15, 1200 block W. Hacienda Ave., mail was illegally removed from a mailbox.
  • Missing Juvenile: 9:30 p.m. Jan. 15, 1400 block Arroyo Seco Drive, a 16-year-old girl ran away during the night leaving a note about her plans but was later located by San Jose police officers. 
  • Stolen Auto Recovery: 8:54 a.m. Jan. 15, at Castlemont and Barkwood avenues, a stolen Honda Accord from San Jose was located near the intersection.
  • Mail Theft: Jan. 10, 100 block Cherry Ave., two mail packages were stolen from a front porch.
  • Stolen Auto Recovery: 6:50 a.m. Jan. 15, Merrimac and Millich drives, a stolen Honda Civic from San Jose was located.
  • Missing Juvenile: 2:21 a.m. Jan. 16, 1400 block Arroyo Seco, a 16-year-old ran away but returned.
  • Possession: 4:30 a.m. Jan. 16, 2000 block So. Bascom Ave., a 42-year-old woman was found in possession of meth and a meth pipe and determined to be under the influence of a controlled stimulant. She was booked into jail.
  • Possession: 2:04 a.m. Jan. 16, 1600 block So. Winchester Blvd., a 28-year-old man was found to be in possession of meth, meth pipe, bolt cutters and counterfeit bills and was determined to be under the influence of a controlled stimulant. He was booked into jail.
  • Public Intoxication: 9:16 p.m. Jan. 16, 1600 block So. Bascom Avenue, a 50-year-old man was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself. He was booked into jail. 
  • Public Intoxication: 10:05 p.m. Jan. 16, 2300 block So. Winchester Blvd., a 
  • 60-year-old man was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself. He was booked into jail. 
  • Restraining Order Violation: 8:40 a.m. Jan. 16, 700 block Harriet Ave., a 71-year-old man violated an emergency protective restraining order and threatened the victim. He was booked into jail.
  • Auto Burglary: 5 p.m. Jan. 16, 1000 block W. Parr Ave., a vehicle was broken into and property from its center console was removed.
