Campbell Police Receive Helicopter Assistance Saturday Night

San Jose Police Department also assisted Campbell PD in foot chase.

Several Campbell Patch Facebook readers alerted Campbell Patch Editor that there was a helicopter flying over the Orchard City Saturday.

On Aug.17, Campbell Police attempted to stop an Acura that turned out to be an unrelated stolen car near David Avenue and Monica Lane, says Campbell Police Capt. Dave Carmichael. Police pursued the car to South Winchester Boulevard and East Rosemary Lane where the suspect's car collided with another car.

Two males in their teens to early 20s got out of the still moving car and fled on foot, police said. The car came to a stop when it struck a fence on Impala Drive.

A Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department helicopter assisted Campbell PD in looking for several suspects at about 8:03 p.m. San Jose Police Department also assisted in the search.

"The suspects all fled on foot after a brief pursuit and were not captured," Carmichael said.
