Fires Damages Campbell Restaurant And Neighboring Units

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the front door of the restaurant.

CAMPBELL, CA — A fire caused heavy smoke, water and structural damage to a restaurant Monday afternoon in the 100 block of West Hamilton Avenue in Campbell.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the front door of the restaurant.

Flames and smoke spread to a neighboring unit in the building, but firefighters successfully preserved two other neighboring units from damage, according to a press release from the Santa Clara County Fire Department.

Crews responding to the 5:48 p.m. report included the Santa Clara County Fire Department, Campbell Police Department, Santa Clara County Emergency Medical Services, PG&E, Red Cross and Fire Associates of Santa Clara Valley.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is not considered suspicious.
