I-280 Crash Sent Person To Hospital Sunday Night: CHP

SAN JOSE, CA -- One person was hospitalized with serious injuries Sunday night when an SUV slammed into the center divider of Interstate Highway 280 near the Race Street offramp in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The solo-vehicle accident was reported at 9:58 p.m. when the SUV, headed north, slammed into the median, the CHP said. The SUV's driver had to be removed from the vehicle by San Jose Fire Department firefighters, and was taken to Valley Medical Center in San Jose for treatment of broken bones and other injuries, the CHP said.
