I-880, I-280 Crashes Cause Backups In South Bay: CHP

SAN JOSE, CA — A multi-vehicle crash with injuries prompted delays as it blocked the right and center lanes on the southbound side of Interstate 880, the California Highway Patrol reported Tuesday morning. It has since cleared.

CHP issued a severe traffic alert on the crash located at the Interstate 280 off-ramp. It involved a big rig and multiple vehicles, according to a police report.

Then, I-280 motorists on the northbound side also experienced another crash reported in Los Altos south of Magdalena Avenue as of 9:32 a.m. This incident has also cleared.
