‘Mamma Mia’ To Hit Stage In San Jose
The San Jose Stage Company brings 'Mamma Mia' to the South Bay on May 29.
SAN JOSE, CA — "Can you hear the drums Fernando?" It's hard to say these lyrics without singing, and that's the beauty of the music of ABBA, the hit 70s pop band.
It's also the beauty and the splendor of the performances and production behind the San Jose Stage Company's rendition of "Mamma Mia," which features the band's music from May 29 to July 7 on stage on South First Street.
The story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs propels this enchanting tale of love, laughter and friendship involving a mother, a daughter and three possible dads. The scenario makes this trip down the aisle in this whimsical tale more than interesting — especially as the young woman searches for her birth father while inhabiting a sunny Greek island paradise.
