Motorcyclist Dies After Hitting Parked Car In South Bay Area

The motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on McLaughlin Avenue near Cray Court when it left the roadway and hit a car.

SAN JOSE, CA — A motorcyclist died after colliding with a parked car Saturday night in South San Jose, police said.

The motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed southbound on McLaughlin Avenue near Cray Court when it left the roadway and hit an unoccupied car about 9 p.m., according to San Jose police.

The man riding the motorcycle was not wearing a helmet, police said. He died at the scene. His name was not released.

The crash is the city's 25th fatal traffic collision this year.
