Moving up: Eric Williams named new Kaiser Santa Clara SVP

Eric Williams, FACHE, has been named Senior Vice President and Area Manager of the Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center. Williams will have oversight of and is responsible for hospital operations and the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan at the Santa Clara Medical Center.

Williams most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Santa Clara Medical Center since joining Kaiser Permanente in May 2017. His role included oversight of programs focused on delivering high-quality care to our members and patients. He has also served in regional leadership roles in emergency operations, workplace safety, and support services.

“It continues to be an incredible honor to work with all of the amazing professionals that make Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara such a special place for our employees, patients and members,” Williams said. “I look forward to continuing to build upon our mission of delivering high quality, affordable care to the community.”

Williams is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, FACHE, and came to Kaiser Permanente from Stanford Health Care. He is the recipient of the 2017 Senior Leader, Healthcare Executive of the Year Award from the California Association of Healthcare Leaders and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Williams earned his Master of Health Services Administration at the University of Michigan and his Bachelor of Science in Health Policy and Administration at Pennsylvania State University. Williams succeeds Chris Boyd, who took a senior leadership position at Kaiser Permanente’s Diablo Service area.
