Person Struck, Killed By Caltrain In South Bay
The rail crash occurred at 5:08 p.m. at the Capitol and Blossom Hill stations in San Jose with 346 passengers on board Caltrain.
SAN JOSE, CA — A person was struck and killed by a train early Tuesday evening in San Jose, according to the San Mateo County Transit District, which operates Caltrain.
Southbound Caltrain No. 156 struck the person at 5:08 p.m. on the tracks between the Capitol and Blossom Hill stations in San Jose.
About 346 passengers were on the train and no one reported any injuries, officials with the transit district said.
