Safeway Opening New Store Near Campbell, Renovating 20 Others

CAMPBELL, CA — Supermarket chain Safeway is opening a new location near Campbell this year, one of four new stores set to open in the region, the Mercury News reported.

Safeway will also renovate 20 existing Bay Area markets this year, the company said.

The store will be just north of Campbell, at 1305 S. Winchester Blvd. near Payne Avenue in San Jose, according to the Mercury News. It is expected to open sometime this summer.

The other stores expected to open in 2020 are in Hercules, San Francisco and El Dorado Hills.
