San Jose-area Crashes Mark 2nd Day Of Morning Commute Problems

A few crashes were reported Wednesday morning, with one at the busy I-280 and I-680 interchange in San Jose and another on Highway 101.

SAN JOSE, CA — Crashes quickly became the order of the day on South Bay road Wednesday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The latest in rounding out the second day of incidents is an overturned vehicle involving injuries on the southbound side of U.S. Highway 101 blocking lanes at the exit at Cochrane Road between San Jose and Gilroy.

Another overturned vehicle is blocking lanes on Interstate 680 on the southbound side north of the Montague Expressway in Milpitas. Another incident on I-680 was reported in a call of a crash from the southbound side south of the Interstate 280 interchange in north San Jose, CHP added.

Motorists may expect delays around the South Bay.

A little farther north, an obstruction on southbound Interstate 880 was reported in the morning as well.
