San Jose Harvest Festival® Boasts a Black Friday Shopping Bonanza

Hundreds of Independent Artists and Makers Gather at the San Jose Convention Center to Showcase Handmade Arts and Crafts

Black Friday typically conjures up images of crowds storming mall entrances and stampedes through big box stores, but that isn’t the only option when it comes to Holiday shopping.

The San Jose Harvest Festival, happening November 23-25, 2018 at the San Jose Convention Center, has a unique alternative to the Black Friday madness, boasting a festive shopping experience that features over 24,000 one-of-a-kind American, handmade products all under one roof.

Independent artists and craftspeople will be exhibiting a wide array of gifts, including original art, jewelry, clothing, photography, ceramics, toys, specialty foods, home décor and much more. Attendees can speak directly to the artists, learn how each item is made, and get gifts personalized.

“What makes our show different from other craft festivals is that we offer an exceptionally high quality of handmade products in an environment that is fun, festive, and stress-free,” said show owner Nancy Glenn.

In addition to the fabulous shopping, the San Jose Harvest Festival also features live music and entertainment throughout the day.

Tom Rigney and Flambeau will set the entertainment stage on fire with their spicy brand of Cajun Zydeco music, and comedian John Park will be bringing the laughs with his interactive “Funny Waiter” show. Plus, strolling performers such as Mama Claus, Eddie the Elf, and a stilt walking Santa will all be wandering the festival and entertaining attendees as they shop.

The hands-on KidZone will offer fun make-and-take woodcraft activities from CD’s Kids Art Studio. New York Life will also be on hand to offer free Child ID kits.

The San Jose Harvest Festival is proud to welcome back its longtime community partner, Humane Society Silicon Valley. The non-profit animal welfare organization will receive half of the proceeds from shopping bag sales and all of the proceeds from the bag and parcel check, as well as a direct donation from the show.

The San Jose Harvest Festival is known as the West Coast’s largest indoor arts and crafts show and is rated as one of the top 200 craft shows in the United States.
