San Jose High School Ranked as Best in the Country
Summit Tahoma recognized by U.S. News & World Report

Summit Tahoma, located in Santa Clara County, was recognized nationally by U.S. News & World Report among the best high schools in the country. Summit Tahoma ranked in the top 25% of California high schools.
This year, U.S. News looked at over 24,000 schools in the country and ranked about 17,860 based on five indicators: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, and graduation rates. Since becoming eligible, Summit Tahoma has been recognized five times! Summit Tahoma, whose student body is 47% Hispanic, is the fourth top school in the East San Jose Unified School District overall.
Summit Public Schools, a public school system with schools in California and Washington, has made the U.S. News & World Report rankings every year since 2009. This year, all six of Summit’s eligible high schools made the list: Summit Tahoma in San Jose, Summit Prep and Everest in Redwood City, Summit Shasta in Daly City, and Summit Sierra and Olympus in Washington state.
