San Jose School District Honors Staffers Of Year
A ceremony at Gunderson High School formerly acknowledged a wide variety of school district contributors.
CAMPBELL, CA — The San Jose Unified School District recognized a few weeks ago the outstanding achievements of its employees during the 2018-19 school year at its annual Employee Service Awards at Gunderson High School.
The following individuals were named San Jose Unified Employees of the Year for 2018-19:
- Herb Espiritu, Principal, Pioneer High School (District Administrator of the Year)
- Lilia Valenzuela, Operations, Field Coordinator (District Classified Employee of the Year)
- Alison Stroot, Intervention Specialist, Almaden Elementary (District Certificated Employee of the Year)
“San José Unified has an incredible team of dedicated and compassionate staff members. Our employees are motivated by the knowledge that through their sincere efforts, direction and tutelage, they can make a difference in a student’s life” Superintendent Nancy Albarrán said. “From teachers to supporting staff, they are all working together to prepare today’s students to be the thinkers, leaders, and creators of tomorrow.”
