San Jose Train Strikes Car, Injures Driver: VTA
The crash occurred at 12:20 p.m. at the intersection of First and Rosemary streets in downtown San Jose.
SAN JOSE, CA — A Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority light-rail train hit a car near downtown San Jose Wednesday afternoon but the car's driver only suffered minor injuries.
The crash happened at 12:20 p.m. at First and Rosemary streets, according to the VTA. The driver was the only person in the car and was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Both northbound and southbound tracks were closed for about an hour with bus shuttles in place, but there are no residual delays as of 2 p.m.
