ShowPlace Icon Theatre At SJ Valley Fair Takes Center Stage
The San Jose version of the hit new movie theater extraordinaire is every bit as comfortable and welcoming. It opened about four months ago.
SAN JOSE, CA -- Great things demand repeat performances -- only this time the sequel is just as good. And so it goes with the January opening of the Icon Theater in the Silicon Valley's largest city.
The Mountain View version in The Village at San Antonio on California Street opened in mid October with a showing of "First Man," the story of astronaut Neil Armstrong -- the first man to walk on the moon in 1969.
The stars were definitely in line as that movie experience was out of this world to the 65 people invited to the sneak preview.

Imagine a theater where you can grab a nutritional snack or enjoy a full meal from an adjacent restaurant as well as take in the full bar where you can get a cocktail that would make a mixologist envious. Then, kick back with both with a tray table on a cushy lounge chair that provides six feet of stretching space and seat warmers where the biggest concern is falling asleep because of the comfort.
Spanning over 60,000 square feet, San Jose ShowPlace ICON at Valley Fair features 10 spacious auditoriums with seating for 1,474 guests. Auditoriums range from the 281 seat ICON•X premium large-format room to the more intimate 86-seat auditorium.
