SJ Giants Fan Fest Launching Season

Bring out the ball caps and peanuts -- the taste of the San Jose Giants season gets underway Tuesday with FanFest and an exhibition game.

SAN JOSE, CA -- The boys of summer will be in full view and close enough to almost touch Tuesday when the San Jose Giants gates at Municipal Stadium are thrown open to season ticket holders at 2:15 p.m. and others at 4 p.m. for autograph signing and an all-around build up to the minor league baseball season.

Season ticket holders and team VIPs have early access to the events - but that's just the start of the fun. The Giants coaching staff and players Joey Bart and Heliot Ramos will be on hand for the day's festivities.

A FanFest Meet-and-Greet with San Jose Giants players will be followed by a 6 p.m. exhibition game between the Giants and the Sacramento River Cats. Both are farm teams at different levels (Class A and AAA) for the San Francisco Giants, which holds the distinction of winning three World Series in five years from 2010 to 2014. The Silicon Valley team has backed up the major league organization since 1988.
