Suspected Catalytic Converter Thief Arrested In Campbell
Witnesses in Campbell told police they saw two people attempting to steal a catalytic converter. Officers later caught up to them.
CAMPBELL, CA — A man was arrested Tuesday after bystanders told police that they witnessed two people attempting to steal a catalytic converter from a vehicle in Campbell, officials said.
Later, officers saw two suspects fleeing the area in a vehicle and stopped them, according to a statement from the Campbell Police Department.
Lee Yee, 41, of Sacramento, was arrested.

While Yee was being taken into custody, a second suspect fled from the vehicle as on foot and was not located, police said.
A search of the vehicle turned up metal cutting instruments, suspected stolen catalytic converters, methamphetamine and smoking pipes.
