Train Strikes, Critically Injures Teen On Bicycle
The 14-year-old girl was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after she rode her bicycle across train tracks.

SAN JOSE, CA — A bicyclist remains in the hospital Thursday with life-threatening injuries following a collision with a train in San Jose, police said.
The collision happened on Wednesday morning at about 10:50 a.m. at Stokes Street and the train crossing at the Southwest Expressway. Police said the bicyclist was riding east on Stokes Street and rode around the lowered, functioning crossing arms for the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority light-rail train.
The victim was a 14-year-old girl. No one on the train was injured.
