Woman Accused Of Pet Store Arson: Campbell Police
A 35-year-old transient woman was taken into custody on allegations of setting fire to Pets and More on Hamilton Avenue.

CAMPBELL, CA — A 35-year-old woman was arrested in connection with a possible arson at a pet store from about a week ago, Campbell police reported Friday.
The transient was identified as Cassandra Warren, who was taken into custody on Monday.
The motive to ignite the exterior of Pets and More on Hamilton Avenue with a roomful of animals in it remains unclear, police Capt. Joe Cefalu told Patch. However, the suspect in the suspicious fire has "a long history of drug use," Cefalu added.

"When we arrested her, we suspected she was high on a stimulant, probably methamphetamine," he said.
The fire broke out at 7:02 a.m. on Sept. 4 and was quickly extinguished by fire crews from San Jose and Santa Clara County within 17 minutes. The blaze was kept to a corner of the exterior and part of the roof.

Upon checking the scene, a criminal probe was launched between fire agencies and Campbell police.
