13 Guns, Pound Of Meth Found, Sheriff's Office Says

SOQUEL, CA — The Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Enforcement Team said it found a pound of methamphetamine, 13 guns, packaging and scales upon serving a search warrant at a home in the 2700 block of South Main Street. Among the items recovered were two unregistered assault weapons, two shotguns, handguns and more than 5,000 rounds of ammunition, the sheriff's office said.

Eli Burry, 39, was arrested on suspicion of charges related to having narcotics for sale, possessing a controlled substance while armed and other weapons-related charges.

He was booked into Santa Cruz County jail, where he is held in lieu of $1 million.
