The new coronavirus has changed life for all of us. Local businesses have taken a huge economic hit, but communities are finding creative ways to support the establishments they know and love.

Tell us about your business and its history in your town.

The business was previously known as Galli Uniform, and my wife and I bought the business in 2011. We sell uniforms for medical professionals, culinary professionals, first responders and students. We also offer a full tailoring shop and do embroidery for small orders. The business has been located At 4242 Capitola Road since 2003.

How has the new coronavirus impacted your business and its employees?

We have had to cut business hours from eight hours a day to four hours a day, and from being open six days a week to five days a week. We have had to cut hours for our employees from 40 hours a week to 15 hours a week.

How can local customers support you now and in the future?

Come by the store when we are open, call in orders or just come by for any type of tailoring or alterations. We have the best tailor in the business.

Do you have any words of encouragement for your community?

Hang in there and help out any small business if at all possible especially restaurants that are still doing take out orders.

Are you offering any special services, promotions or hours during this time?

We are making masks in the store for sale and we are offering to meet customers earlier or later in the day if their schedule does not work with our new hours.

Are there any other outstanding businesses in town you think deserve some community support?

We miss our neighbors Dharma’s Restaurant and Evolve Beauty Lounge. They have been closed since March 16. When they reopen we hope they have all the business they can handle.
