Deputies Searching for Would-Be ATM Robber
The man tried to break into the ATM at Bay Federal Credit Union, 105 Post Office Dr. in Aptos last month.
Investigators are trying to track down a man who attempted to force open an Aptos ATM in late June, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Detectives on Friday released images of the would-be robber and asked for the public's help in identifying the man.Â
He and another person were driving a silver late 1990s SAAB 900 with three-spoke rims when they stopped at the Bay Federal Credit Union at 105 Post Office Dr. in Aptos around 4:40 a.m. on June 24, the Sheriff's Office reported. The man seen in the surveillance footage appears to be in his early 20s.Â
He is suspected of attempted grand theft. Investigators did not release other details about the crime.Â
