Elderly Soquel Woman Killed in Crash Near Seventh Day Adventist Camp

The fatal accident happened Sunday afternoon.





An 89-year-old Soquel woman died Sunday afternoon when she crashed her car into a tree above the Seventh Day Adventist Church camp at 1931 Soquel-San Jose Road and landed in the church camp's parking lot, local media reported. 

Sourcing the California Highway Patrol, KSBW reported that Rebecca Blumberg Carter was driving a Toyota Camry on Los Robles Road when she crashed head-on into a tree.

Blumberg Carter's car was found around 6:15 p.m. by a camper, according to KSCO. It had rolled about 20 feet down a steep cliff. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
