Food Comes to Life, Touches Lives at Watsonville Movie Premiere

Kids from Jacob's Heart and Grind Out Hunger got to attend a pre-screening of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.

A special pre-release movie screening in Watsonville afternoon united kids and groups that care about helping kids be healthy on Wednesday. 

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 is a movie all about food, bringing fresh produce to life on the big screen. 

The event brought about 200 guests of Grind Out Hunger, Jacobs Heart and California Giant Berry Farms to Green Valley Cinemas.
 
California Giant hosted the private screening of the movie. Kids had fun activities to take part in, there was a ribbon cutting and attendees got to snack on fresh produce treats.

Watsonville Coast Produce also delivered 8 palettes of food which was donated to Second Harvest Food Bank.

Grind Out Hunger is a Santa Cruz nonprofit dedicated to kids helping kids in the fight against childhood hunger.

Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services is a Watsonville-based nonprofit. This month, it's recognizing Children’s Cancer Awareness Month and will host its annual Kidrageous Carnival on Sunday in Watsonville's Civic Plaza.
