House Fire Displaces 3 Santa Cruz County Residents
The fire was reported late Thursday night. Flames, smoke and heat damage rendered the home uninhabitable.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Fire crews on Thursday responded to residential structure fire in Aptos.
Crews with the Central and Aptos La Selva Fire Districts responded Thursday at 10:14 a.m. to 4 Eugenia Way on a report of smoke and flames coming from the residence.
Responding firefighters were able to contain the blaze in about 30 minutes.

Three residents and two pets were initially reported to be unaccounted for, but firefighters were able to confirm the residents and the pets were not home when the fire broke out.
The home sustained fire, heat and smoke damage throughout, making it uninhabitable and displacing the three residents.

There were no reported injuries due to the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
