New Exhibit to Celebrate the 'Screaming Blue Hand'

The iconic "Screaming Blue Hand" by legendary graphic artist Jim Phillips will be celebrated this month at the Museum of Art & History.

Santa Cruz County, CA -- The iconic "Screaming Blue Hand" by legendary graphic artist Jim Phillips will be celebrated this month at the Museum of Art & History.

The image, which is popular in the youth skate culture, celebrated its 30th anniversary last year. The image is protected and distributed by Santa Cruz-based skateboard company, NHS, Inc.

The "Screaming Blue Hand" exhibit will feature original work by Phillips and 200 other comtemporary artists influenced by skateboarding culture.

At 5:30 p.m. Friday, attendees can also catch an "artist talk" with Phillips and Bob Denike, the CEO of NHS .
