New Leaf Community Markets Announces Envirotoken Beneficiaries

Here's an Easy Way to Support Local Nonprofits Working Hard to Support Us

Community Votes in Beneficiaries of New Leaf Community Markets’ Envirotoken Program

New Leaf Community Markets would like to thank our community members who voted in the recent Envirotoken election! Thousands of community members have selected six local nonprofits at each New Leaf store to receive financial donations for the next six months.

Customers of each New Leaf store voted for a set of six nonprofits from a long list of worthy local groups working to support environmental, education, or hunger-relief efforts in our community (see list of beneficiaries by store below).

Join other community members in supporting these organizations. Every time you reuse a grocery bag at New Leaf, you receive a token worth 10 cents to donate to one of the six nonprofits. Just drop the tokens in the boxes by the door. It really adds up! Since the program was launched in 1993, New Leaf has donated over $853,000 and customers have reused over 9 million shopping bags – saving the equivalent of over 12,000 trees.
