Not your average food fight: Portola Hotel & Spa hosts culinary competition for at-risk youth

Portola Hotel & Spa, Jacks Restaurant & Lounge host junior and professional chefs in friendly culinary show-down, June 14

Aspiranet and Cherish Receiving Center will host a “Food Fight” culinary competition to benefit at-risk youth. On Sunday, June 14, from 1:30 – 5:30 p.m., junior and professional chefs will test their culinary skills at one of Monterey’s Portola Hotel & Spa, while directed by Executive Chef Jason Giles. Event-goers will cheer for their favorite teams while enjoying an afternoon of delicious food, wine and beer tastings while supporting local children. To purchase tickets go to www.aspiranet.org/foodfight.

This benefit is a joint fundraising effort on behalf of Aspiranet and its partners in Monterey County. To learn how you can help local children served by Cherish Receiving Center and for more information on Food Fight, including event sponsorships, call Ellyn Brannon at 831-540-4141.
