Illegal Guns Found During Home Search, 2 Guns Found During Arrest

The guns and ammunition were found last month during a Soquel apartment search conducted by the Sheriff's Office Narcotics Enforcement Team.

SOQUEL, CA — Detectives with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Enforcement Team found two illegal guns while serving a search warrant at a Soquel apartment, the sheriff's office said.

Resident Thomas Haggett was in another state at the time, but returned to the county last week.

The Narcotics Enforcement and Gang Enforcement Teams took him into custody, and found he had a loaded handgun, unloaded rifle, ammunition and magazines, the sheriff's office said.
