Sanitary Sewer Project Shuts Down Capitola Intersection

Detours are in place, but residents are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid Clares Street.

CAPITOLA, CA — Clares Street at the Wharf Road intersection in Capitola is completely closed to allow work on the county's sanitary sewer project at the Nob Hill shopping center. The shutdown began Wednesday afternoon to allow heavy equipment into the area, according to the city.

Detours are in place, but residents are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid Clares Street.

Wharf Road will remain open and Clares Street is scheduled to be reopened by this weekend.
