SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — The RedBall Project sculptural installation has been to more than 26 cities across three continents. Next week, three Santa Cruz County cities will be added to the list.

The selfie-worthy, 15-foot inflatable ball designed by artist Kurt Perschke will be hosted at six locations across Santa Cruz County from June 8 to 13, according to the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History. The museum is coordinating the ball's visit to Santa Cruz County.

RedBall Project exhibits tend to last one to three weeks about three times per year, moving each day, according to the RedBall Project.

"As RedBall travels around the world people approach me on the street with excited suggestions about where to put it in their city," Perschke said in a statement. "In that moment, the person is not a spectator but a participant in the act of imagination. I’ve witnessed this from people young and old, from diverse cultures, speaking hundreds of languages across continents, all naturally responding to RedBall’s invitation. That invitation to engage, to collectively imagine, is the true essence of RedBall Project."
