Santa Cruz Fire Officials Offer Safety Tips
Fire Prevention Week may have ended but residents can still raise awareness about fire safety, officials said.

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA -- Fire officials recently offered safety plan tips for the residents of Santa Cruz County.
Officials with the Central Fire Protection District said Fire Prevention Week may have ended but they would like to raise awareness about preventing fires throughout the month of October.
"The fire prevention theme this year is 'Look. Listen. Learn. Be Aware. Fire Can Happen Anywhere.' The message is to be aware that a fire can occur anywhere or anytime. Look for places fire could start. Listen for the sound of the smoke alarm. Learn two ways out of every room," officials said in a press release.
